Council bin collectors will be working on Saturdays and Sunday as well as weekdays this Christmas to ensure there is as little disruption to collections as possible.
From Christmas Eve, bin collections will take place as normal on the Monday, and all other collections will be two days later than normal for the rest of the week, due to Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
People who usually have their bins emptied on a Thursday or a Friday will have them collected two days later, on Saturday or Sunday respectively.
The following week, collections will take place as normal on New Year’s Eve, Monday, December 31, and will be one day later than normal for the rest of the week, with Friday collections taking place on the Saturday.
Residents are asked to ensure their bins are at the boundary of their property by 7am on the scheduled collection day.
To check your collection dates, visit the my neighbourhood section of the council’s website at elmbridge.gov.uk/bins.
