A charity Christmas concert for tots helped to raise money for families in need.

Bach to Baby, held in St Luke's Church, Ramsden Road, Balham, saw youngsters and their carers come together to raise money for Home-Start Wandsworth on December 18.

Highlights of the concert included rocking to Brahm’s Lullaby and virtuoso horn trio, Handel's Messiah and Christmas carols around the piano.

About £100 was raised during the event, which will help deprived families in the borough.

Miaomiao Yu, founder of Bach to Baby, said: "We were delighted to support such a fantastic charity, one that is consistent with our aims of helping the educational and emotional development of babies. "

Hazel Martin, trustee, said: "This Christmas many parents will continue to struggle raising their young children, for many reasons including financial troubles, bereavement and isolation.

"Home-Start Wandsworth is there for families at their lowest point and these funds will help us carry on offering friendship and support during those crucial early years of child development."
