A 15-year-old girl has been taken to hospital with a head injury after being hit by a car in Burgh Heath this morning.
A spokesman for South East Coast Ambulance Service said it was called at 7.50am, to the A217 Brighton Road near Wessex Garage Doors, after reports that a 15-year-old girl was struck by a car.
Two cars, an ambulance and an air ambulance all rushed to the scene.
Staff on the air ambulance provided additional clinical skills but the girl was evacuated by road to St George’s Hospital in Tooting.
The girl was suffering from a number injuries, including a head injury.
Traffic in this area has now returned to normal.
