BBC news reporter Huw Edwards joined hundreds of people to remember loved ones during a charity concert.

Trinity Hospice's annual Light up a Life celebration took place in Holy Trinity Church, in Clapham Common, last Thursday.

Prior to the service members of the community gathered to watch the lighting of the Christmas tree outside the hospice before joining a candle lit procession to the church.

People attending the concert were given the chance to reflect and remember those who are no longer with us.

There were also trained councillors from the hospice to support anyone struggling with bereavement.

Celebrities such as Mr Edwards, actors Prunella Scales and Geraldine James showed their support by reading at the service.

Music was provided by Pegasus Choir and St Mary's School choir, while wine was donated by Davy's Wine Merchants.

Mr Edwards said: "I am very proud to be patron of such an important local charity.

"With less than a third of Trinity’s funding coming from the NHS it is vital that local people continue doing what they can to support this special cause."
