The Tadworth schoolgirl hit by a car in Burgh Heath this morning has suffered "significant" head injuries.
The 15-year-old was struck by a silver/grey BMW Mini, travelling northbound on the A217 Brighton Road, just before 8am.
The girl was taken to St George’s Hospital in Tooting, but the driver, a woman in her early 50s, was not injured.
The road was closed at its junction with Tattenham Way for just over two hours.
