Post Office to install new cashpoint in Cheam following Barclays closure
A new cashpoint will be introduced in Cheam to help elderly residents.
Following the closure of the Barclays branch in November, elderly residents on Upper Mulgrave Road were concerned how far they would have to walk to get money out.
But now the Post Office will be introducing a free cashpoint on the same road to use 24 hours a day.
Conservative Councillor Graham Witham, who backed a petition to get a new ATM installed, said its good news for the area.
He said: "A lot of people don't want to have to walk under the railway line to go to a cashpoint, we are really pleased about this announcement."
