A number of dogs have cut their paws on broken glass left in parks.
Police officers from Wandle Valley Safer Neighbourhoods Team (SNT) are urging park users to dispose of glass bottles after a number of reports of dogs cutting their paws in Watercress Park, Spencer Road, Hackbridge.
Acting Sergeant Dave Morris said: "We have received several reports of dogs being hurt by broken glass after youths have smashed glass bottles on the ground.
"We are asking everyone to please put rubbish in the bins provided.
“If we see anyone acting in this way, we will take action.
"We also urge anyone who has any information about the people responsible for leaving broken glass in the park to contact us so we can make appropriate enquiries."
