Criminals have been repaying their debt to society by clearing rubbish from near a car park.
On Tuesday January 8, low-level offenders filled about 30 bags and created a 5ft high pile of waste next to Wickes car park in Beddington Lane as part of their sentence.
The work was being carried out under the Community Payback scheme.
Sergeant Suzannah James, of Beddington North Safer Neighbourhoods Team, said: "This strip of land has been neglected for sometime and had become an eyesore for anyone visiting the local stores or walking by. Community Payback is helping us improve the area for local people."
