MPs have put further pressure on Network Rail to keep services from Sutton to St Pancras and Luton Airport.
MPs Tom Brake and Paul Burstow spoke at a meeting to discuss the future of the Wimbledon Loop services through Blackfriars station.
Tom Brake said: "It was a relief to see that Network Rail are responding to commuters' calls to look again at plans which would have stopped all Wimbledon Loop services at Blackfriars.
Paul Burstow said: "Its good that Network Rail are doing a fresh analysis of the impact of retaining rail services running through Blackfriars. In the end the decision to protect existing Sutton-Wimbledon loop services will be the Ministers."
Other issues raised during the meeting included deteriorating track and signalling performance, works planned at Hackbridge station and signalling outside Sutton station.
