A councillor is fed up of a roundabout which continually floods.
Cheam councillor Mary Burstow is asking Surrey County Council to sort out the flooding around the Belmont roundabout at the junction of Belmont Rise and Brighton Road.
When it rains two pools of water quickly form and remain there for days and Mrs Burstow fears that both pools are potentially lethal.
She said: “Many local people tell me that this problem has been here for a long time.
“I certainly remember it being here ever since I moved to Cheam 14 years ago.
“In addition no Surrey constituents live close to the problem, so no one complains to the Banstead Ward Councillors. It is Sutton residents who are affected.”
A spokesperson for Surrey County Council said the wetspot has a high prioritisation score of 64 and ranks 25th on their database of over 900 wetspots.
This particular area is scheduled for capital works to address the issue in the financial year 2015-2016
