A five times Paralympian and world champion has been inspiring children.

Judo champ Ian Rose visited Hackbridge Primary School on Wednesday, January 9, as part of the 21st Century Legacy.

The charity is building on this summer’s Olympics and their programme called Be the Best you can Be is encouraging youngsters to pursue their goals and to have aspirations.

Head teacher Jacquie Fairhurst said: "We have had a lovely morning. He was amazing. It was really inspirational."

Rose will return to the school in July when he will be presenting the children with medals.
