A woman has been taken to hospital after her car crashed into a lamppost.
Firefighters from Woodside, Croydon and Norbury fire stations were called to Lower Addiscombe Road at 4am this morning.
When the crews arrived the woman, aged in her early 20s, had got out of the vehicle unaided and was sat on the pavement.
Crew Manager Webber said: "The lady was sitting on the pavement in state of shock in a semi-concious state.
"We administered first aid and gave her oxygen until the ambulance arrived and took her to St George's Hospital.
"Two engines were at the scene for a while and we had to assist the police in making the car safe as it had bent the street lamp up.
"The way the car was wedged in the pavement and lamppost, it is miraculous she was not more injured."
