The mother of serial killer Levi Bellfied has been acquitted of harassing her son’s ex-girlfriend.
Jean Bellfield, 75, and her partner John Lee, 72, both of South Road, Feltham, were due to face trial at North Surrey Magistrates’ Court on Monday, January 14.
The case against the pair was dismissed today (Thursday, January 10) and the couple were given restraining orders forbidding them from contacting Emma Mills.
The restraining order will last for one year, ending on January 9, 2014, and also prohibits them from encouraging others to contact Ms Mills, as well as visiting The Drive, Moor Lane, Blair Avenue or Esher High Street.
Ms Bellfield and Mr Lee had been accused of deliberately driving past Ms Mills’ Esher home and her children’s school on several occasions between September 14, 2011, and January 7, 2012, knowing that they would cause Ms Mills harassment, alarm and distress.
Ms Mills has three children with Levi Bellfield, who is serving a life sentence for murdering Milly Dowler, Amelie Delagrange and Marsha McDonnell.
