A businesswoman who turned her life around after losing her job has released a book she hopes will help people with their New Year's resolutions.

Wallington woman Lotwina Farodoye lost her job in marketing for a snack company in 2008 but used the disappointment to spur her on to found healthy treat company Be Fruity the following year.

Be Fruity has gone from strength-to-strength and the snack bars are now stocked in supermarkets around the country.

To help other people follow in her footsteps, Ms Farodoye has written a book called Fruitful Business: How to Start a New Business Now! about how she got started.

The Grosvenor Gardens woman said: "Every year Google gets a spike in people searching for how to start their own business in January as part of their New Year's resolutions.

"Those starting a business usually struggle with non-existent funds, lack of direction on where to start and a lot of confusion on the right path to profit.

"I provide answers for each of these, along with a laser-targeted roadmap of where to go at each turn, what to expect and what to do to return big profits."

Ms Farodoye's book costs £7.99 is available on www.amazon.co.uk.
