Freezing weather this weekend and snow on Monday Freezing weather this weekend and snow on Monday

Temperatures are set to plummet this weekend with snow arriving on Monday and Tuesday.

Frost and ice are predicted today and tomorrow with the temperature falling as low as -3 tonight, according to the Met Office.

The Met Office is also forecasting light snow for Monday and Tuesday with the temperature going down to -4 on Tuesday night.

Sutton Council says it is prepared for the weather and has over 700 tonnes of salt in stock which it will be spreading as the wintry weather arrives.

Do you remember a year or two ago when the roads were slippery because LBS said they had spread grit but it was "unactivated" grit. Wrong sort of grit?
