St Mary's Catholic Junior School in Carshalton gets top grade from Ofsted

A Catholic school has been given a glowing report by schools' watchdog Ofsted.

St Mary's Catholic Junior School in Carshalton has been given the top 'outstanding' grade after an inspection in December.

The inspector noted high achievement, polite pupils, good teaching and said pupils are safe.

Shirley Hulme, head of the voluntary-aided school in Shorts Road, said she is proud of her staff and pupils.
