11:50am Wednesday 16th January 2013 in News By Sophia Sleigh, Reporter
Police officers paid a visit to a nursery school in Sutton.
However, the well-behaved youngsters at St Albans Pre School nursery were not in any trouble, the visit was aimed at getting children used to meeting the police.
During the visit on Thursday, January 10, officers chatted to the youngsters about personal safety.
Nursery manager Katie Joslin said: “I think it’s brilliant that local police officers have come down and seen the children.
“It really helps them not to be afraid of uniforms which sometimes children can be. It’s important that children feel like they can approach the police if they are lost or need help.”
PCSO James Carvey added: “It was brilliant and all the children loved it.”
