100-year-old Ellen Bristow celebrates birthday with cake and wine
Cake and fizzy wine was the order of the day for one 100-year-old’s birthday party.
Ellen Bristow from Sutton turned 100 on Tuesday and was joined by her friends and daughter at a party at Sutton Lodge day centre on Brighton Road.
The grandmother of two used to have her own milk round and later worked for the gas board.
Carl Grigg, manager of Sutton Lodge, said: “She was very pleased with the card from the queen.
“She had a lovely day and her daughter was very pleased.”
