Friends of Upper Norwood Joint Library have organised an evening of poem to celebrate Burns Night.
Poetry lovers are invited to the event on Saturday January 26, where The Haggis will be piped in while Robert Burns’ poem ‘To a Haggis’ is read.
An ‘open mic’ night will then follow for anyone with a Scottish themed poem to perform.
Light refreshments with a Scottish flavour will be available and guests will have the chance to roll a coin to win a bottle of whisky.
Doors open at 7pm and tickets costs £5 for adults and £3 for children aged 12 and over.
Space is limited, to book your place in the library call 0208 670 2551 or visit uppernorwoodlibrary.org
