Drivers are advised to avoid the A23
An crash involving two cars has caused traffic to come to a standstill around the Coulsdon bypass.
The A23 Brighton Road is blocked in both directions due to an collision at the junction with Star Lane in Hooley.
Traffic is building on Brighton Road towards Coulsdon and Purley, and Northbound towards the M23 to M25.
It is understood the cars are stuck in the middle of the road and both vehicles are missing a wheel.
Drivers are advised to avoid the area.
