I recently saw Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs at the New Wimbledon theatre.

The scenery, choreography, colours, the costumes were all beautiful, but what a terrible shame that killing had to be introduced into what is basically a children's pantomime.

I thought the scene in the woods where a large shiny knife was poised over Snow White, who was about to be killed, was totally inappropriate.

Surely there are enough killings with knives going on in the real world without it being made into entertainment?

Of course, the children in the audience were enthralled by the whole show, but to me they were being brainwashed into thinking killing with a knife is fun or not to be taken seriously.

Perhaps I am old fashioned?
