Sutton policeman Heath Keogh promotes Battersea Dogs Home on Alan Titchmarsh show
A dog-loving policeman appeared on TV after taking on a new puppy.
Dog expert Heath Keogh from Sutton Police Station was on ITV's Alan Titchmarsh Show on January 22 to talk about re homing dogs.
PC Keogh appeared with his wife Michelle, and their seven-month old dog Saffie, a Chihuahua / Jack Russell cross who the couple re homed from Battersea Dogs Home.
The couple have provided a home for the Saffie since the age of seven weeks when the puppy was small enough to sit inside a pair of cupped hands and was fed from a hamster bowl.
Heath explained to viewers that Saffie "the wannabe Staffie" had settled in well with their two Staffordshire Bull Terriers.
Celebrities on the show included Spice girl Mel C, actress June Whitfield and Myleene Klass.
PC Keogh said: "It was a really good experience and great publicity for Battersea Dogs Home."
