Cannabis plants found in Stafford Road, Wallington following tip off
Police arrested a man and seized a haul of cannabis when they raided a maisonette.
Twenty-four cannabis plants were found in the loft and a bag of cannabis from a bedroom above a shop in Stafford Road, Wallington, on Wednesday 23 January.
A 37-year-old man was arrested and has been bailed following a tip off from a resident.
PC Dave Francis, of Beddington South Safer Neighbourhoods Team, said: "This is a good result. We had cleared the factory within hours of finding it."
The operation is the latest in a series of raids in the borough as part of a new Met-wide offensive against drug-related crime called Operation Hawk which involves officers undertaking plain clothes patrols.
