A glass shop’s front window was attacked by vandals overnight.
When the directors of Sutton Glass in Stonecot Hill went to open up on Thursday morning they found vandals had thrown bricks at one of their front windows.
A major window 3m by 2.5m had been destroyed causing up to £2,000 worth of damage.
Director, Mike Edgerton, from Rosehill, said: “Even a glass shop get’s their windows broken.
“One of the neighbours said she heard something at around 8pm.
“They didn’t steal anything they just hit the window.
“We try to keep our costs low for the elderly. We are a new business we only started in October.
“It’s one step forwards and two backwards. It’s just pure vandalism.
“You just have to get up brush yourself down and get on with it.”
