People with learning disabilities celebrate national Dignity Action Day in Wallington
1:40pm Monday 4th February 2013 in News By Sophia Sleigh, Reporter
People with learning disabilities from across Surrey gathered in Wallington to celebrated national Dignity Action Day.
The event on Friday, February 1, at the Greyhound Hotel, Carshalton, was a chance for people with learning disabilities to tell carers what dignity means to them and how they would like it to affect the services they use.
During the session they hoped to capture more ideas about dignity by creating a tree with coloured leaves on which people wrote what dignity means to them.
