St Anthony's private hospital in North Cheam starts aquatic physiotherapy
St Anthony's private hospital in North Cheam has joined forces with a local company, AquaPhysio, to offer aquatic physiotherapy.
Julia Descroizilles, senior physiotherapist at St Anthony's Hospital, said: "Aquatic physiotherapy is excellent for pain relief for patients of all ages. It can help with arthritis, fractures and sports injuries.”
Siobhan Jane Aiston, a patient at the hospital, said:"My physiotherapist and consultant referred me to AquaPhysio.
Initially I refused but Julia, my physiotherapist at St Anthony's Hospital, persuaded me to give it a go. I found it so much kinder to my joints - the water seems to take the strain.
"I am very impressed with AquaPhysio and my mobility is going from strength to strength."
