SUTT: Police make arrests just three minutes after call
Officers were able to make arrests just three minutes after someone called them with concerns someone was breaking into his car.
A motorist from Surrey Grove in Sutton called police at 1.10am today after he saw a suspect man looking into his car. By 1.13am officers had arrested three men, two aged 26 and one aged 23, in nearby Royston Avenue.
Two of them were arrested on suspicion of theft from a motor vehicle and one of them was arrested on suspicion of going equipped to steal.
Police recovered a sat nav, a mountain bike, a torch and a pair of gloves.
If you saw anyone acting in a suspect way in the area this morning or if you have had a Mongoose mountain bike stolen, you can call police on 101.
