A man was arrested after police raided a cannabis factory today.

Police searched a house on Church Hill Road, Sutton, at mid-day today and found 60 cannabis plants in an outbuilding as well as CS and pepper spray.

A 28-year-old man was arrested.

Officers were acting on information received from the local community.

The operation is the latest in a series of raids in the borough as part of a continuing Met-wide offensive against drug-related crime.

Operation Hawk is an initiative which involves plain clothes officers patrolling targeted roads.
