Health Secretary is currently trying to bring in regulations to implement parts of last year's controversial Health and Social Care Act. His suggestions for competition in the NHS are drastic, and would make competitive markets for NHS contracts the default in most cases, even where local people and commissioning groups want to retain NHS providers. Mr. Photo Opportunity and his fellow LibDems claimed they had made sufficient changes to the Act to prevent privatisation of our public NHS services so what does he have to say about this latest development?
