Sutton and East Surrey Water boss raises money for WaterAid
12:44pm Wednesday 6th March 2013 in News By James Pepper
Two men have scaled mount Kilimanjaro for charity.
Sutton and East Surrey Water’s Operations Manager Richard Rap conquered the highest free-standing mountain in the world raising £2k for WaterAid.
Pharamacist Raj Patel, chairman of Merton, Sutton and Wandsworth Local Pharmaceutical Committee achieved the same feat on February 22 to raise £6k for Age UK.
Mr Rap said: "Not many people can say they've climbed Kili, and seen an awe-inspiring sunrise from 5,500metres up a mountain looking down on the clouds and the African plains – a truly magical moment."

Raj Patel said: "It was an incredible challenge, pushing us all to our limits. I'm delighted to have raised so much money for such a worthwhile charity and am already looking for the next challenge."
