Fabulous women give big donation to Royal Marsden cancer hospital in Sutton

The Royal Marsden cancer hospital in Sutton has received over £700 from some "fabulous women".

The total was raised at a charity evening organised by Fabulous Women - a networking organisation.

The evening featured several speakers including Andrew Brown, the fastest man ever to row the Atlantic on his own, and Sutton magician Theo Theodoris. 

Leonie Wright organised the event on behalf of Fabulous Women. After taking a tour of the Oak Centre, the hospital’s facility for children and young people, she said: “I was amazed by the wonderful facilities.

"The centre looked warm, inviting and colourful - a real home from home."
