Offenders have been sprucing up communal gardens in Belmont.

The gardens, on the Shanklin Estate in Belmont, look much tidier after seven low risk offenders did some gardening and rubbish clearance on Tuesday, March 5.

The work was carried out under the Community Payback scheme which is managed across London by Serco on behalf of the Ministry of Justice.

PCSO Zarif Adem, of Belmont Safer Neighbourhoods Team, said: “The work was carried out in good spirit and they have done a really good job.”

Communities can nominate projects by emailing: nominations@london.cp.gsi.gov.uk.
