Police investigate blazing car left in Roundshaw

A car was left ablaze near a children's play area last night.

The burning Vauxhall Astra was spotted in a wooded area by the play area off Foresters Drive in Roundshaw at around 10.30pm.

Firefighters from Wallington were called and found the car "100 per cent alight" but with no-one else in the area.

Police are investigating the incident.
