Police are appealing for information after Tuesday's incident
A half-naked man was found badly beaten-up after having a gun held to his head in the early hours of Tuesday.
Shocked residents of Vickers Close, Wallington, called police after seeing the 37-year-old man being attacked in the street next to a white van in a parking bay near Roundshaw Park in Wallington.
The man is thought to have been beaten in the van, causing the alarm to go off and its hazard lights to flash.
The trouserless man was then seen with a gun held to his head, covered in bruises and with knife wounds to his face and legs.
Three white males drove away at speed. The van is described as a small, old style, white van.
Police want to speak to anyone who has information to contact Detective Constable Gary Bridges at Sutton police on 020 8649 0747.
