Thousands were celebrating after walking 14 miles for the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.

A total of 4,500 people took part in the Marsden March on Sunday – a sponsored walk from the Royal Marsden hospital in Chelsea to their hospital in Sutton.

The event was kicked off by doubles tennis star and Royal Marsden patient, Ross Hutchins, and the deputy mayor of London, Victoria Borwick.

This is the third year the walk has taken place and with more walkers than ever before.

It was created as a way for patients, staff, friends and family to show their support or honour a loved one.
