Mayor Sean Brennan launches new academy at Carshalton College

The mayor of Sutton has launched a new academy at Carshalton College.
On Wednesday, March 13, Sean Brennan attended the launch of the Building Lives Academy which will train unemployed people and help them into paid apprenticeships within the construction industry.
Councillor Brennan commended the academy for helping people from the community into sustainable construction careers.
Steve Rawlings, CEO and founder of Building Lives, started as an apprentice himself 40 years ago.
He thanked everyone for their support and said: "I’m over the moon that we launching our fourth academy in London.
“Building Lives is proof of what can be achieved and how many local people can be helped into jobs with a strong partnership.”
