A collision between a tram and a car caused traffic and travel delays this afternoon.
The incident took place just before 1pm at Oaks Road at the junction of Coombe Lane, near Shirley Hills.
A person from the car suffered minor injuries. Oaks Road was closed due to the tram and car blocking the road, with both the London Ambulance Service and Police attending the incident.
Tram services were suspended between Lloyd Park and Addington Village due to the collision.
During the incident, Transport for London’s director of trams, Sharon Thompson, said: “No passengers, staff or occupants of the car were injured although emergency services attended the scene as a precaution.
"There is a service between Lloyd’s Park and Croydon Town centre and between New Addington and Addington. Local bus services are accepting tram tickets.”
