A Crystal Palace pub has made the list of the Top 150 Local Real Ale Pubs in the UK.

The Grape and Grain in Anerley Hill is one of eight London pubs that made the list as part of the Campaign for Real Ale's (CAMRA) Community Pubs Month.

The pubs were selected by CAMRA's local branch members who vote for their winning pubs based on customer service, value for money, decor, customer mix, atmosphere and the quality of the beer.

The majority of winners will now move forward to CAMRA's Regional Pub of the Year competition, which will be announced in September.

The winner of that award will progress to CAMRA's National Pub of the Year competition, which will be announced next February.

Mike Benner, CAMRA Chief Executive: "Community Pubs Month is a month long celebration of the Great British Pub and its importance to the surrounding community.

"These winning pubs have been voted the best in their local areas by the local CAMRA members and are examples of the kind of well run and valued community pubs we hope to see more of throughout the UK."
