A man has appeared in court charged with robbing a disabled man in Croydon town centre.

Calvin Humanikwa of Croham Road, south Croydon, appeared at Croydon Magistrates Court this morning, charged with robbery and receiving stolen goods.

The incident happened yesterday morning at about 8.30am, when police were called to North End to reports a man in a wheelchair had £50 cash stolen from him at a cash point.

Mr Humanikwa, 25, did not enter a plea when he appeared at court.

He was remanded in custody and will reappear at Croydon Crown Court on April 18.
