A 41-year-old man has been jailed for grooming a 13-year-old girl via text message.
John Coleman of Carew Road, Wallington, was sentenced to 15 months in prison at Croydon Crown Court on March 27.
He was also sentenced to a Sexual Offences Prevention Order for five years and put on the Sex Offenders Register for ten years for the offence which took place on or before 22nd June 2011.
Coleman sent a large number of text messages of a sexual nature to the young girl.
The victim said he gave her a teddy bear and flowers and met her alone on more than one occasion.
Coleman was arrested at his home on 1st July 2011 and was charged in November.
