A range of activities aimed at encouraging bookworms will be on offer at the library later this month.
A free event featuring literature-based activities for children of all ages - from an introduction to Pokemon to a Deal or No Deal-style game show - will be on offer at Sutton Library on Tuesday, April 23.
It will also feature activities for adults including a talk from Sutton author Julia Williams, a general knowledge quiz and more.
The event has been arranged to coincide with world book night and is free.
Councillor Jill Whitehead, chairwoman of the environment and neighbourhood committee, said:
"World book night is a great way to show our residents the joys of reading and making it part of our daily lives.
"This is also a wonderful opportunity to show what fantastic resources Sutton Library has. I’d love to see the library packed all evening with a mixture of hardened library goers and first time visitors."
The evening starts at Sutton Library in St Nicholas Way from 5pm and ends at 10pm.
