ASDA in Sutton High Street has donated £2,600 to a baby with an incurable genetic disease.
Louie Bull, from Stonecot Hill, was born with the rare and very serious condition, Spinal Muscular Atrophy with Respiratory Distress (SMARD), which causes muscles to waste away.
Louie will be on ventilation for the rest of his life, and has scoliosis, deformed hands and feet and doctors say he will eventually end up paralysed.
On Friday, April 5, they presented a cheque to his family.
On the same day shop staff were spotted parading round in giant bag costumes to promote their ‘bags for life’.
