Aspiring rock stars and musicians can get a taste of life at the Realistic Music Academy during its open days.

The academy is opening its doors to invite prospective students to a free 10-minute trial lesson and a tour of its facilities.

Young musicians can take advantage of guitar, bass, drums and singing taster lessons on offer at the Realistic Music Academy in East Street, Epsom, and Claygate Village Hall, in Claygate, Esher.

Many former students from the academy have gone on to form bands and some have even managed to achieve major success.

Bands coached by the music school have shared a stage with British rock band Kaiser Chiefs as well as performing on BBC1 and playing at Glastonbury music festival.

The academy offers live music workshops with an end of term showcase at Epsom Playhouse.

The next courses start on April 22.
