A celebrity-filled charity football match will take place at Imber Court to raise money for pioneering treatment to help a three-year-old with cerebral palsy.

Evie Mae Fleet, originally from Walton, had cerebral palsy diagnosed when she was one year old and her parents are seeking help to raise funds for treatment in the USA, which costs about £5,000 a session.

The toddler’s parents Kelly Ridley, 39, and Matthew Fleet, 37, postponed their wedding last year to use the money for a treatment session.

Evie Mae went from being unresponsive to recognising her pet dog, being able to sit up in her adapted stroller and being aware of her environment.

Family friends Sharon Graham, an ambulance driver, and Gary Harding, ex-secretary of Tooting and Mitcham Football Club, have held various fundraising events to raise money for Evie Mae’s treatment.

The charity football match will see stars from EastEnders, Towie and Big Brother, among other programmes, battle it out on the pitch.

Mo George, who played Gus in EastEnders, Leo the Lion, singer from The Streets and Victor from Big Brother 5 will all play.

Teams will be managed by Cheryl Fergison, who played Heather in EastEnders, and Chloe Everton from Sky Sports.

Face-painting, a bouncy castle, magic show and character photo opportunities will also be on offer to youngsters. The charity match will take place at Imber Court, Ember Lane, East Molesey on Sunday, April 21. Doors open at 11.30pm, the event starts at 12.30pm and the match kicks off at 2.30pm.

Tickets cost £10 for adults and £1 for under 16s or VIP tickets cost £25, under 16s £5.
