Firefighters tackled a blaze in a bedroom on the Longmead Estate yesterday.
They were called to a third-floor flat in Nimbus Road, West Ewell, on the estate at 2pm.
An Epsom fire officer said the fire had caused "80 per cent severe damage".
People inside the flat at the time all managed to vacate the building safely and no one was injured in the blaze.
