Rail passengers faced a small delay this afternoon after a dog found his way onto tracks between Claygate and Oxshott.
The 15.03 from London Waterloo to Guildford was delayed for 18 minutes between the two stations.
A spokeswoman for South West Trains said: “We had a dog on the lines.
"He was in danger of being hit so he was removed and put on a train with the station manager.
“The dog is well. He is now in Guildford Station.”
Trains are running to time and there are no further disruptions to trains this evening.
