A church group is getting creative in its bid to raise money for much-needed church repairs.
Members of Twickenham United Reform Church, in First Cross Road, are asking artists to donate pieces to sell to raise money for the refurbishment works.
Church member Jenny Samuel said: “We have several members in our congregation, who paint, embroider, etc and in the past we have displayed their work in our church when we have invited in the local community.
“Some of these members have donated their work to the church to sell for the refurbishment building fund.
“Some are of very high quality (not just my opinion) so an idea for an exhibition and sale was thought about.”
The works will be sold as part of a folk concert, called Exhibition of Folk Art, at the church on May 11.
