A police inspector is calling on dog walkers, cyclists, picnickers and visitors to beware of thefts from car parks in Mole Valley.
Mole Valley Neighbourhood Inspector Andy Rundle has warned people to be vigilant after two handbag thefts from cars parked in beauty spots at the weekend.
Insp Rundle said they tended to see a rise in thefts from car parks at the start of spring and summer, but police were redoubling efforts to stop vehicle crime.
Insp Rundle said: "Please come and enjoy what Mole Valley has to offer but take your valuables with you and leave your vehicles secure.
"I would not want someone’s day out to be spoilt by being a victim of crime."
