A Surrey shopkeeper has appeared in court accused of stabbing a man in West Croydon.
Erkan Uyar of Old Station Road, Godalming, appeared at Croydon Magistrates Court yesterday charged with wounding with intent, following the incident on Sunday evening.
Police and London Ambulance were called to the scene and the man, believed to be 22-years-old was taken to hospital in a critical condition.
He condition has since improved and he is said to be serious but stable.
Mr Uyar, 38, was remanded in custody to appear at Croydon Crown Court on May 14.
