Cheam councillors threw their political differences aside in favour of a battle of brain power.
Councillors Mary Burstow, Jonathan Pritchard and Graham Witham dusted off their rulers and calculators to sit a SATs Key Stage 2 paper at Cheam Library on Tuesday, April 30.
It was all part of the build up for the Cheam Charter Fair which takes place on Saturday, May 18, and the imminent SATs exams which are coming up for the borough's youngsters.
It was a victory for the girls as Coun Burstow gained 100 per cent in her marks.
She said: "They both did pretty well but both got one or two wrong. I was rather relieved that I could manage to answer all the questions and they were all ones that made you think."
